Member
To be eligible to apply for the AIChE Group 20-Year Level Term Life plan, you must be:
- A member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers,
- Under age 55,
- A resident of the U.S. or Puerto Rico (currently not available in NC, TN, TX, VT, WA and territories).
Satisfactory evidence of insurability must be provided and the required premium contribution must be paid to become insured.
Dependents
You may apply to add coverage for your lawful spouse and child(ren), within these guidelines:
- Your spouse must be under age 55
- The requested amount of spouse coverage may not exceed 100% of member coverage
- Unmarried, dependent child(ren) may be covered from birth through age 24
If your spouse is a member…
If your spouse is also an AIChE member, he or she is eligible for either member or dependent coverage, but not both.
If both member and spouse are covered as members, neither may add spouse coverage and only one may insure any eligible children.
